Liberty Fund History

Liberty Fund was founded in 1960 by Pierre F. Goodrich to make a hopeful contribution to the “preservation, restoration, and development of individual liberty through investigation, research, and educational activity.”

Today, Liberty Fund’s programs focus on the understanding and appreciation of the complex nature of a society of free and responsible individuals.

Global Reach | Individual Impact

Liberty Fund has hosted thousands of conferences in the United States and around the world. These invitation-only events bring together a diverse mix of scholars and professionals to explore ideas of liberty.

Liberty Fund conferences seek to illuminate individual liberty and responsibility through the informal and open, yet serious, discussion of ideas that shape human civilization and the free society.
